One of the most powerful ways for a leader to get feedback is to use a multi-rater system like 360-degree feedback. That is, of course, a system that gathers feedback from 360 degrees around the leader from their peers, staff reporting directly to them, their manager (or boss), internal customers and perhaps others with whom they need to interact on a regular basis. For some it includes feedback from the organization's Board of Directors and for others it includes feedback from customers or clients.
xxxWe use a tool called Panoramic Feedback which is provided by the folks at www.PanoMetrics.com whose tool is very powerful. Check out their website but return to Esther Ewing to get more information about how you can get access.
xxxWe can help you build your own competency sets and we have a library of competencies that we use with our clients, including sets for finance managers, actuaries, IT managers, principals of public schools, clinical heads of medical specialties, nurse case managers, senior healthcare to mention a few.
