Morrey Ewing has been a professional advisor since 1980, specializing in strategy and organization change. He has advised companies throughout North America in a wide variety of new and old economy enterprises, as well as several professional associations and governing bodies. Among public sector agencies, he primarily serves those with an independent mandate and genuine autonomy.
Business to business clients have spanned a diverse spectrum, among them corporate and investment banking, electronic information, retail design, public relations, debt capital markets, and mining.
Business to consumer clients have also been eclectic, involved in food retailing, packaged goods, brewing, entertainment, wealth management, broadcasting, publishing, photography, long distance moving and non-prescription drugs.
Professions he has worked with have included several branches of the accounting profession, software developers, financial planners, and health professionals.
Public Agencies he has served have been in engaged in, for example, central banking, parks management, lottery and gaming entertainment and hospital care.
From 1987-1990, Morrey enriched his consulting experience, becoming Vice President, Strategic Planning at Nesbitt Thomson (now BMO Nesbitt Burns), the investment subsidiary of Bank of Montreal. He holds degrees from University of Toronto (B.A. Economics) and from Harvard University (M.B.A. and Master of Public Policy). He is a past Chair of the Harvard Business School Club of Toronto, a Director of The Learning Partnership and a member of the C. D. Howe Institute. He has consulted on a voluntary basis to the not-for-profit sector, such as The United Way of Greater Toronto.
